HP ProCurve MSM335 Access Point
Project
HP ProCurve (formerly Colubris Networks) came to us with an access point project that required multiple adjustable antennas, a UL plenum rating, and a clearly recognizable appearance from a branding perspective.
Process
Starting with a need for 10 adjustable antennas, we collaborated with HP ProCurve to find ways to incorporate these antennas with minimal impact to the overall apparent complexity of the product. An early concept placed sets of antennas in two large movable flaps, which allowed for the adjustability while limiting the visual impact (hiding the antennas in the flaps). The concept was carried into the production design, coupled with a plenum rated primary enclosure.
Product
A design solution that incorporates the multiple adjustable antennas, with some inside the two flaps, which inherently creates a unique appearance that separates HP ProCurve (formerly Colubris Networks) from their competitors. The enclosure meets the UL plenum rating and comes with a wall mount system that is easy to install.
