Data General Aviion High Density Server

Objective:

We did the mechanical and industrial design for the Aviion.

At the date of completion, this server was in a class far above it's competitors. It is the densest server of it's size and comes equipped with hot-swappable power and cooling modules and peripheral drives.

The bezels, produced by ThermoFab, were designed so that when the product's volume increased, the cad models could easily be converted into injection molded parts, and with little change to the appearence.
