Project

EMC came to Carroll Design with the task of designing a series of EMC/Dell branded front panels to be applied to EMC rack-mounted products.

Process

We collaborated with both EMC and Dell's design and engineering groups to bring the EMC products to the current Dell design language.  The challenge was to take disparate features (switches, LEDs, EMI sealing, venting & mounting) from each EMC chassis to the face of a consistent Dell front panel industrial design theme using high-volume manufacturing materials and processes.

A family of six different front panel assemblies from 1U to 4U - all converting the EMC products to EMC/Dell branded products.
