Project
The primary task was to combine the pressure calibration functions of the existing BetaGauge 321 family with an integrated pump in two flavors: automatic/electric and manual. The new handheld device also needed to carry the BetaGauge brand design language.
Process
We carried the BetaGauge design theme into a hand held calibrator incorporating two pump versions in a solution that is ergonomically friendly and rugged. We designed the 330 to withstand a 3 foot drop, verified the design through mechanical simulation (COSMOS) and physical prototype testing. The design encloses the two different pump versions with the same main base and cover parts, using small adaptor parts to fit the pump sub assemblies.
