Spectro Spectroil Q100
Project
Spectro Inc, a division of QinetiQ North America, needed to re-design their Spectroil(TM) oil analyzer to adapt the technology to a commercial laboratory (vs. the existing rugged mil-spec field-use system) application, while reducing the product cost and weight.
Process
Carroll Design was responsible for the development of the overall system including the component layout, internal structure, external enclosure, user features, and the mechanical design of all custom parts and sub-assemblies, working closely with Spectro's internal engineering team.
Product
Carroll Design developed a solution that tied in with Spectro's existing commercial product line, reduced the overall product footprint (lab bench space minimized), reduced the weight and the cost of goods.
